Cheik Ismaël Tioté, born June 21, 1986 in Yamoussoukro and died June 5, 2017 in Beijing, China, is an Ivorian international footballer who plays for the midfielder.
BIOGRAPHY
Training at BIBO
Born in Yamoussoukro, Tioté joined the training center of CFB (Training Center BIBO) in Treichville. He is spotted by the Belgian club RSC Anderlecht.
Anderlecht
He won the Belgian championship two times in a row (2006 and 2007) but left the club for more time and took charge of the Dutch club of FC Twente.
FC Twente
He joined the Dutch club of FC Twente in 2008 and won the Dutch Championship and Supercup of the Netherlands in 2010. During his stay in Twente, he played 58 matches in D1, scored a goal and delivered 14 assists .
Newcastle
On August 27, 2010, Sheikh joined Newcastle for a sum of around 4M euros. In February 2011, he is extending his three-year contract with the Magpies and is now linked to Newcastle until June 20172.
In October 2012, he gives a negative opinion as a Muslim as Demba Ba, Hatem Ben Arfa and Papiss Cissé to put on the future jersey of Newcastle because of the new sponsor "Wonga", credit company, because the Sharia, the law Islamic law, forbade credit borrowing.
In February 2015, following a knee injury on January 3, 2015, he had to undergo surgery and saw his season come to an end.
Beijing BG
On February 9, 2017, he signed in favor of Beijing BG in China League One (D2 Chinese).
He died on June 5, 2017, following a heart attack during a training session.
